Illustrator CHICHI

http://www.ve47.com

Illustrator CHICHI designs all our products (Visible Elephant 47, posters, illustrations, etc).

Having lived in New York for more than 10 years, he noticed the potential of computer technology as a medium for anyone to create artistic designs. Increasingly however, he also saw the negative impact of this trend, with similar designs flooding the internet making it hard to differentiate between imitation and original designs.

As an illustrator, CHICHI wanted to release real original designs globally.

Using a computer rather than a pen, CHICHI creates "line drawings" to draw and design.
CHICHI's contribution to the previously curved world of VE47 is appreciated by the entire team of Visible Elephant 47, with his work appearing on the brand's clothes and posters.

MIND GAME

"This award-winning film is a journey of self-discovery based on Japan's cult underground comic "Mind Game" by Robin Nishi. The story follows Nishi himself through the life experiences that directly inspired the semi-autobiographical "Mind Game" comic. As a college-age loser addicted to porn and aspiring to write seedy adult comics, Nishi aspires to overcome his addiction to perversion in a tale that is lighthearted yet painful and touching. What starts off as an innocent meeting between old friends quickly turns into a psychedelic extravaganza, filled with violence, sex, love, redemption, and the infinite possibilities of the human mind. Director Masaaki Yuasa rejoices in experimental animation techniques, filling the screen with virtuoso wackiness, mixing in rough lines and storyboards, then inserting photographic touches. "

Yuasa's debut feature, Mind Game has been touted as an anime masterpiece, and one that completely redefines the medium. While the latter might be true, there's simply too much in the film that feels overly familiar.

Darker Than Black

Everything began when an mysterious territory appeared in Tokyo. They called it the Hell’s Gate. And, along with it, came these ‘humans’ with tremendous powers. We are concerned with Hei. Messier Code: BK-201. He is an elite contractor, and that goes without saying, the most powerful one. He and his team members, Yin, a doll i.e. some sort of contractor without any feelings; Huang, the normal being and Mao, a contractor who lost his body and now lives in the body of a cat.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when these contractors came into existence, the sky disappeared and was replaced with a fake one. Each star in the new sky representing one contractor.

Each Contractor has a uniquely bizarre remuneration, reflecting the chaotic nature of the Hell’s Gate. Remunerations are typically difficult for the Contractor and range in severity from irritating to painful. - Wikipedia :))))))))

Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek

Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek
premiered earlier this year in March at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, where it quietly picked up an award for Notable Entry in the General Category. In Korea, it received a Best Film Nomination at the Seoul Comics and Animation Festival. Later, it went on to win Best Short film at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal.

This awesome-looking anime follows a group of eight masked teens as they engage in a deadly game of Hide and Seek with a group of bloodthirsty demons under the streets of Tokyo. The fast paced story follows Hikora and Yaimao, who've joined the sinister game in order to find their sister who disappeared during a previous game.

Packing a tremendous visual punch unlike anything you've seen before, Kakuenbo is completely 3-D animated, except that it doesn't look it — instead, the 3D is used to deliver what looks like extremely high-quality cel-animation. The lighting effects alone are worth the price. This dark, sinister film is the very first production effort from Yamatoworks, and we hope to see more from this exciting and imaginative studio.

The world of Kakurenbo: Hide & Seek is a grungy, dilapidated city that is a mix of old and new. Masses of wires connect broken-down yet towering traditional Japanese style buildings. The city is often grey and smoggy, but even on sunny days, the buildings are so tall that they block out the sunlight. Rumors spread about this town. They say that kids go there to play a strange game of hide-and-seek. The rumors also say that the children who go to play don't come back. It's said that the demons who live in the city take them away.
